Volkswagen Atlas Pricing and Trim Levels

Volkswagen has not yet released the full pricing and trim level information for the 2027 Atlas. Stay tuned for our full review coming in the future, but for now, we estimate the Atlas’ MSRP will range from $40,000 to $59,000 with all the options.

  • Engine: Tweaked 2.0L Turbo I-4
  • Output: 282 hp and 258 lb.ft of torque
  • Drivetrain: Standard FWD and Available 4Motion AWD
  • Towing/Utility: 5,000 lbs Max Towing Capacity
  • Fuel Economy: Estimated to be around 23-24 MPG Combined

Exterior Design

The biggest VW is All-New & Super Luxurious. It features a new closed-off grille with an emphasis on lighting, double-stacked LED headlamps with animation, and sits on the MQB Evo platform with flush design elements.

  • Trim Differences: R-Line models are the most sporty and aggressive. The SE Tech adds a full-length lightbar and an illuminated logo.
  • Wheel Sizes: Base models ride on 18-inch alloys, while other trims offer 20 or 21-inch alloys (black or contrast finish).
  • Design Options: Available new colors for 2027 include Sacramento Green, Blackberry, and Sandstone.

Interior Tech & Luxury Highlights

  • Infotainment: All screens are upsized and updated for the 2027 Atlas. All models have a 10.25-inch digital cockpit system, paired with a 15-inch display on all but the base model, which has a 12.9-inch screen.
  • Audio System: The base audio system is adding 3-speakers this year for a total of 9 as standard. Top trims will offer the more powerful 14-speaker Harman Kardan Audio, which adds two speakers for 2027.
  • Seating: Standard seats are 12-way adjustable with 4-way lumbar support, finished in Leatherette. Upper trims add massage features, thigh support, Varenna Leather, or top-trim Nappa Leather. Available colors include Black, Gray, Black/Dark Gray, and Deep Wine. Legroom is 41.7 inches, and Headroom is 41.3 inches.
  • Cargo Space: This should be similar to the outgoing model, offering around 97 cubic feet of total cargo capacity.

Safety & Driver Assistance

  • Standard Suite: Updated IQ.Drive is standard for 2027, featuring all four active safety systems, a new front center airbag, and Travel Assist.
  • Premium Tech: Standard Travel Assist includes driver-initiated automatic lane change and Emergency Assist to pull over on the shoulder in emergency situations. Smart entry is standard along with remote start on most models.
