There will only be one trim level for the new Prelude. We estimate the MSRP will range between $35,000 to $38,000 before options and destination.
Design and Features
The Prelude takes on a new face for 2026, differing it from both the current Honda lineup and previous generations of the Prelude. This new model is focused on sporty elegance, which is why this coupe offers a usable hatch as well for maximum storage. What’s Under the Hood?
The 2026 Honda Prelude now comes standard with a new hybrid powertrain that Honda says is geared for enthusiast driving:
- Hybrid Only: 2.0L I-4 + two motor hybrid system: 200 hp | 232 lb.ft
The new Prelude will not offer a manual transmission, but rather a Direct Drive transmission powered by the electric motors. In its S+ Shift Mode, the paddles can be used to create realistic shifts for a sporty drive feel. The new Prelude is FWD only and we expect combined fuel economy to be around 45 MPG.
