What’s Under the Hood?
The Civic now offers two distinct powertrains depending on your preferences:
- LX/Sport: 2.0L I-4: 150 hp and 133 lb.ft
- Hybrid: 2.0L I-4 + two motor hybrid system: 200 hp | 232 lb.ft
The base engine retains a CVT Transmission, and the Hybrid has an eCVT-like setup like other Hondas. Both models will also be FWD exclusive. The fuel economy figures are as follows for 2026:
