The MDX has long been a very important product for the Acura brand and as a matter of fact, it was the brand’s best-selling product last year by far. It’s also long been one of the best-selling luxury 3-row SUVs, and Acura wants to keep up that momentum with a big list of important updates for the 2025 model year. As can be seen, the base Type S model has been removed for 2025, but the A-Spec Advance now brings sporty design to the best equipped Advance model! Pricing should be similar, yet higher, than the 2024 model.
Design and Features

What’s Under the Hood?
The 2025 Acura MDX will not see any changes under the hood, as noted by the power figures below:
Standard: 3.5L V-6: 290 hp | 267 lb.ft
Type S: 3.0L Turbo V-6: 355 hp | 354 lb.ft
All models will have a 10-speed automatic transmission, with SH-AWD being optional or standard on all models. The 2025 Fuel Economy ratings are not yet out, but should be similar to the 2024 ones below:
FWD: 19/26/22 MPG
SH-AWD: 19/25/21 MPG
Type S SH-AWD: 17/21/19 MPG
