Design and Features

For 2025, there are not any radical redesigns for the Maverick, but rather some needed tweaks to mature the design. Most changes will be noticed in the lighting in grille elements, something different on every Maverick trim. If you really want a wild, street truck look, the Lobo now exists to fill that sporty need! For an in-depth look at the design, please view the video below!

What’s Under the Hood?

The 2025 Ford Maverick will have two familiar powertrains, but will see another shuffle for what will be standard:

Standard Hybrid: 2.5L I-4 + electric motor & battery | 191 hp 155 lb.ft (total system)

The Lobo will get some extra performance goodies, like Focus ST brakes, a cooling package, and a modified 7-speed automatic instead of an 8-speed. The 2024 Fuel Economy ratings are as follows, and should be similar for 2025:

Hybrid: 42/33/37 MPG

Hybrid AWD: expected 40 MPG city

2.0 FWD: 23/30/26 MPG

2.0 AWD: 22/29/25 MPG
