What’s Under the Hood?
The Taos gets a power and transmission update for its one engine option:
Standard: 1.5L Turbo-4 cylinder: 174 hp and 184 lb.ft
For 2025, all models will have an 8-speed automatic transmission, no matter what drive train is equipped. You can opt for FWD or AWD on all but the SEL, which is AWD exclusive. The Fuel Economy for 2025 is as follows:
FWD: 28/36/31 MPG
AWD: 25/33/28 MPG (+1 for 2025 with new transmission)
