Exterior Design

Front

The refreshed design of the 2024 X5 elevates a design that was already very handsome and popular. BMW’s signature kidney grilles survive the “supersized” treatment that other BMW models have received lately. As with all BMWs, the M-Sport design adds a more aggressive and updated design for 2024, as pictured above. All X5 models will come standard with updated full-LED headlights with new Arrow Daytime Running Lights. Fog lights will not be offered on the X5. BMW has added the option of adaptive LED headlamps as well as an illuminated grille for 2024.

Side and Rear

Heading to the side of the X5, you have standard 20-inch alloy wheels with a wide variety of other 21 and 22-inch options with the option of red or blue brake calipers as well. Up to the mirrors, you will find power adjusting, heated, power folding, and auto dimming mirrors with blind spot monitoring as standard. The side retains a similar profile from the previous generation, measuring in at 194.2-inches. Black window trim, roof rails, and body colored lower trim will be added on the M-Sport design. The rear of the X5 has also been slightly revised, but continues to offer full LED taillights and exposed exhausts of varying size on all models. M-Sport of course is more aggressive around the diffuser. Towing is rated at 7,200lbs as a maximum.

Safety and Warranty

The X5 will be equipped with BMW’s 4 year, 50,000 mile basic warranty and a 4 year, 50,000 mile powertrain warranty. Additionally, owners will be happy to have 3 years, 36,000 miles of complimentary maintenance. The X5 for 2024 will come standard with some of BMW’s basic safety systems, including:

  • Std: automatic emergency braking w/ ped detection, lane-keeping assist
  • Driving Assistance Professional package: Adaptive cruise control, evasive assist and NEW Highway Assistant (hands-free highway driving up to 85 MPH)

Next, we’ll head to the interior, where BMW has continued to add plenty of important updates.

Rear Spaces

The rear seats will continue to capitalize on the X5’s design, with 37.4-inches of legroom and 40.8-inches of headroom. Rear vents are standard for the second row, with the option of climate controls and heated outboard seats. Interestingly enough, the X5 does have a small two seat third row available, but you will have to special order the X5 for that.
