Every year, our Car Confections Team gets behind the wheels of hundreds of cars, from every size and price point, to make reviews for the channel. Today, we will be sharing our Best Full-Size SUVs for 2025, all of which we have spent extensive time with. We have hand-crafted segment specific scores, to help tailor them for each unique buyer. Scoring Criteria

From reading thousands of comments our viewers have left on our channel; we developed a list of the most important categories for shoppers looking for a Large Three-Row SUV.

We have spent countless hours testing out each of these models, driving them over all types of terrain, testing the technology, sampling the space, and living with them. We then took the time to craft these rankings based off our experience into the following criteria categories.

#6: Toyota Sequoia

The Toyota Sequoia is a tried-and-true option in this competitive segment and is one of the two brave Japanese brands to venture into this American dominated segment. The only model with a true hybrid system in this segment, the Sequoia is one of the most efficient offerings you can choose from, along with offering Toyota’s historic reputation for reliability. It also offers a lot of luxury features, if you’re willing to pay for it. In addition to its lower end value, the Sequoia is quite small, lack both a long wheelbase variant and cargo space, due to its hybrid packaging. If Toyota leaned into the space needs of the American market, they’d have a true winner on their hands.

#5: Jeep Wagoneer

The Jeep Wagoneer is one of the newest entrants to this segment, but this classy “Jeep” with no Jeep branding makes its mark. Looking to take on its more established fellow Big 3 Competitors, Jeep took this full sizer to the next level, which is why this Wagoneer is one of the best picks for both cargo space and passenger comfort. Additionally, it also does well when it comes to refinement, as the ride is smooth and the Hurricane I-6 is a nice addition to this model. However, because Jeep threw everything they could at the Wagoneer, it costs a pretty penny to purchase, and it still lacks overall reliability compared to most on this list.

#4: Nissan Armada

The Nissan Armada made a huge splash in the Flagship 3-Row Segment this year with a very radical and bold redesign! Not only did the Armada make strides in terms of style, but it has also greatly increased its overall tech and luxury, making it far better than its previous generation. It is also the best driving SUV in this segment, thanks to its Dynamic Digital Suspension. While the Armada has stepped up its game, we wish it would up its refinement even more in terms of space and powertrain refinement to be more competitive within this tough segment.

#3: Ford Expedition

Another redesigned model making a splash in this segment is the all-new Ford Expedition! While the Expedition used to take the Tahoe and Yukon head-on, its lost ground in recent years, so we were excited to test out this new and bold model. In many ways, we were very impressed with the elevated luxury experience this Expedition offers, which combines well with its spacious and versatile cargo spaces. Additionally, the Expedition poses strong value compared to its GM competitors, offering similar (or more) features for less money. However, Ford is still actually on the smaller end of this segment, and needs the option of an air suspension to smooth out the ride even more.

#2: Chevy Tahoe

The sales leader in this segment, the Chevy Tahoe (and Suburban), are unsurprisingly scoring very well in this year’s countdown. Both having undergone a significant refresh, the Tahoe is more luxurious, and tech filled for 2025. The Tahoe is a very well-rounded offering, also offering large and versatile space advantages, lots of active safety features, and some of the best ride quality in the segment. We wish the Tahoe would offer a bit more value for the money or at least add in some additional luxury for the current prices. But, if it’s luxury you’re looking for…

#1: GMC Yukon

The GMC Yukon will rule the segment as our top Full-Size SUV this year, stepping up the overall luxury and refinement to eke out a win over its Tahoe Sibling! As you’d expect, the GMC Yukon excels in all the same ways the Tahoe does: refinement, space, ride quality, and safety features. But, with GMC being more premium focused, the Yukon adds a flare of refinement to all models, making it one of the most luxurious options in the entire segment. However, be prepared to pay a premium price for a more premium product.

Close Calls for a Highly Competitive segment!

As you can see, the point values over these categories create many close calls, so you really can’t go wrong with any of these choices. As far as our personal picks, Mason and Drew lean towards the lavishly equipped GMC Yukon, while Josh would opt for the bolder and more family friendly Ford Expedition.
