Design and Features
The Prelude takes on a new face for 2026, differing it from both the current Honda lineup and previous generations of the Prelude. What’s Under the Hood?
The 2026 Honda Prelude now comes standard with a new hybrid powertrain that Honda says is geared for enthusiast driving:
- Hybrid Only: 2.0L I-4 + two motor hybrid system: 200 hp | 232 lb.ft
The new Prelude will not offer a manual transmission, but rather a Direct Drive transmission powered by the electric motors. In its S+ Shift Mode, the paddles can be used to create realistic shifts for a sporty drive feel. The new Prelude is FWD only and the fuel economy is rated as follows:
46/41/44 MPG
