Tucson Interior

What’s Under the Hood?

In addition to the gas powertrain, covered separately, the Tucson has two hybrid options with minor tweaks this year:

  • Hybrid:
  • 1.6L Turbo I-4 + battery: 231 hp total system (+5 hp)
  • Paired w/ 6-speed automatic
  • 44.7 Kw EV motor – same from Santa Fe now, gives it the extra power

  • Plug-in Hybrid:
  • 1.6L Turbo I-4 + 13.8 kWh Lithium-ion battery: 268 hp (+7 HP)
  • Also with a more powerful motor this year

The fuel economy for each model is as follows:

Hybrid Blue AWD: 38/38/38 MPG (same for 2025)

Hybrid AWD: 35/35/35 MPG (down 2 MPG combined for 2025)

PHEV Range: 32 miles
