What’s Under the Hood?

Of course, the big news for the Civic is what is under the hood now, and both options are new/changed for 2025:

  • Updated on LX/Sport: 2.0L I-4: 150 hp and 133 lb.ft (Down 8 hp and 5 lb.ft)
  • Hybrid: NEW 2.0L I-4 + two motor hybrid system: 200 hp | 232 lb.ft

The base engine retains a CVT Transmission, and the Hybrid has an eCVT-like setup like other Hondas. Both models will also be FWD exclusive. Both engines also see increased fuel economy for 2025, making it a very efficient choice:

LX: 32/41/36 MPG

Sport: 31/39/34 MPG

Hybrid: 50/47/49 MPG

When it comes to availability, the new Civic is hitting the lots now, so be on the lookout!
