The base price does rise for 2025, as expected, but the Equinox remains quite affordable. This new model will top out around $40k, less than the outgoing one.

The Equinox continues to have the same engine option with two different transmissions, making it a bit underpowered:
- FWD: 1.5L turbo I-4 at 175 hp | 184 lb ft | CVT
- AWD: 1.5L turbo I-4 at 175 hp | 203 lb ft | 8-Sp Auto
Fuel Economy remains the same for this year, still lacking a hybrid:
FWD: 26/28/27 MPG
AWD: 24/29/26 MPG

Just a comment on your car quietness readings. We have a new 2025 Kia K5 G-Line and for whatever reason it does not seem that quiet. It does depend on the road surface but anything other than freshly laid pavement there is more road/tire noise than i would like. We have no moon roof or any options and the car came with Pirelli P-Zero A/S tires. What trim level were you driving that got such low decibel readings?
Hello! We did use the 2025 K5 GT-Line on the stock tires. Because road surfaces vary throughout the country, as well as unit by unit consistency, this may be reason as to why there may be more noise than what we tested.
