What’s Under the Hood?
In addition to the gas powertrain, covered separately, the Tucson has two hybrid options with minor tweaks this year:
- Hybrid:
- 1.6L Turbo I-4 + battery: 231 hp total system (+5 hp)
- Paired w/ 6-speed automatic
- 44.7 Kw EV motor – same from Santa Fe now, gives it the extra power
- Plug-in Hybrid:
- 1.6L Turbo I-4 + 13.8 kWh Lithium-ion battery: 268 hp (+7 HP)
- Also with a more powerful motor this year
The fuel economy for each model is as follows:
Hybrid Blue AWD: 38/38/38 MPG (same for 2025)
Hybrid AWD: 35/35/35 MPG (down 2 MPG combined for 2025)
PHEV Range: 32 miles
